Integrity
Dale Schwanekamp, Printshop Manager, elderwood Printshop
The work Dale does touches virtually every part of the organization. His responsibilities as manager of the print shop include producing high-quality materials for various applications, from education to business development. He manages the print shop with great care and is fiscally responsible- finding ways to do things more efficiently and ensuring that customer service is always top of his list.
Dale is a problem solver who finds ways to get past roadblocks, and because of his commitment to quality, he and his assistant, Maryann, double-check almost every print job for typos and errors. Dale recognizes potential issues and addresses them.
Collaboration
Judith Wood, Cook, Elderwood Village at Vestal
Judith exemplifies the values and will stay after her shift to cover as a resident care aide, a receptionist, a housekeeper, or an activity aide.
She is always willing to help everyone. You’ll never hear her complain about a workload or the fact that she has already been at the facility for 10-12 hours. Residents and their families consider her the most valuable member of the team.
Judy always has the residents’ best interests at heart. She is always offering different ideas to the activities department for the residents to do.
Accountability
Briana Gray, RN Team Leader, Elderwood at Lancaster
Briana goes above and beyond every single day for each and every resident and co-worker. Briana not only performs her daily nursing tasks and duties, but she is always willing to help out in any other department.
Working in a facility throughout a pandemic and with all the trials and tribulations that the pandemic brought, Briana was here to provide any sort of help and support she could offer. Briana is one of the most selfless individuals.
She ensures that any decisions or concerns are discussed and made as a team. Briana is honest and has strong moral principles and respects everyone. She is not only an excellent nurse, but also a genuine person.
Respect
Ashley Kruth, Adminstrator, pediatric specialty care Hopewell
Ashley has worked at PSC for many years, starting as an RN, then transport nurse, ADON, and then DON. The thing about Ashley that sets her apart from any other nurse or nurse manager is the fact that she treats everyone equally and with the same respect, no matter what their role is at PSC. Her nomination for an iCARE award was submitted as a DON, but she has since been promoted to Administrator.
She advocates for our patients to get the absolute highest quality care possible and also advocates for their comfort when needed.
Ashley strives to make staff feel appreciated. She has cooked breakfast/dinner for the team on multiple occasions. In addition, she organizes snack carts, snack bars, and even made our spotlight nurses handmade plaques to recognize them.
